Dr. Batal is double board certified in General Surgery and Pain management. He has developed innovative procedures in the field of Regenerative Medicine which are giving patients safe and effective alternatives to treat their chronic pain.
Dr. Batal is a board-certified surgeon and fellowship trained interventional spine and musculoskeletal specialist. He completed a Research Fellowship in the Department of Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital affiliated with Harvard Medical School and the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He then completed his residency training in general surgery at New York-Presbyterian Methodist Hospital with additional fellowship training in advance laparoscopic and bariatric surgery.
Dr. Batal worked for a few years as a general and advanced laparoscopic surgeon in Irvine CA where he developed a special interest in regenerative methods to treat chronic degenerative pain. He used autologous bone marrow derived concentrate to treat knee and hip arthritic and ligamental pain. Dr. Batal then completed a fellowship in interventional spine and musculoskeletal pain at Central Valley Pain Management in central California. He also participated in several conventions and sessions at interventional orthopedic foundations.
Dr. Batal is on the cutting edge of all rising biotechnologies and cell-based therapies and their application in musculoskeletal pain. He is also well trained in all the ultrasound and fluoroscopy guided procedures to enable precise targeting of the area of interest.
He is also cognizant of all the US regulations in that regard, and he implements the maximum layers of safety. He also implements a comprehensive method evaluating the physical and psychological factors of pain.
He joined Pacific Pain Centers where he continues his interest and passion for using cutting edge regenerative tools and applications to treat patient with soft tissue injuries with the latest treatments.
